Are you getting enough sleep? Getting the right amount of sleep can have a positive influence on your body and mind. It helps with recovery, improve concentration, keep your immune system strong as well as other benefits.
Not getting enough sleep can also have a negative influence on your body and mind.
Sometimes it’s not easy getting to sleep…I’ve been there, but there are a few things you can do to try and help. Simple things can help such as:
*Set a routine; try to wake up, and go to sleep at the same time each day
*Avoid napping in the middle of the day
*Avoid bright lights from phones/tablets/TVs within 1-2 hours before you go to bed
*Create a routine where you wind down and relax
*Try deep breathing exercises to help you relax
*Think about when you eat evening meals – avoid a large meal 1-2 hours before you go to bed
