So…what actually happens at an appointment with me? 🤔
Initially, we spend some time just talking about what brought you to me. I ask you a few questions so you can tell me how you are feeling and anything that you feel it is important for me to know. I also ask you about your medical history and make sure that I know everything I need to know so that I can treat you safely. ❓📝
Next, examination. This part is where we find out why you are feeling your aches/pains. I will spend some time looking at your posture, watch your overall movements and if needed perform a few ‘tests,’ all to work out what is going on with your body and identify things that are contributing to your pains. 🧐
Then treatment (and homework!). I use different techniques all which aim to relax muscles, strengthen muscles, increase movement and ultimately help to reduce your pains. As part of treatment we may go through some ‘homework,’ which is often really simple changes or exercises that you can incorporate in to your everyday life that will help you when you are not at an appointment. 💆🏾♂️ 💪🏾
And it’s as simple as that! 🤷🏾♂️😀
