Love it! Such a simple thing to try and build into your day if you can!Great post by @grantgirsky …#movement #walking #15minsWalking #getactive #active #activelife #health #healthylifestyle #healthybody #simpletips #easyfitness …. @grantgirsky Do you have 15 minutes to spare?⠀Regardless of your goals, we can all benefit from moving more. But moving more doesn’t mean blocking hours out of your day to exercise- 15 minutes is all you need to make a huge difference.⠀Let’s say you take 15 minutes to walk during your lunch break every day (and let’s assume you walk on weekends as well). Doing this every single day will result in an extra 91 hours of walking by the end of the year. And if you walk at the casual pace of 3mph, that’s an extra 274 miles walked!⠀In the moment, it’s going to feel like the 15 minutes are pointless. But when you look at the big picture of adding almost 300 extra miles walked to your life, it doesn’t seem so pointless anymore.⠀Now, before you get on my case that 15 minutes of walking is not enough exercise- I know. I absolutely recommend you do more than simply walk 15 minutes every day. But we’re talking about ADDING these 15 minutes to whatever it is you’re already doing.⠀If you can afford more time, then go for it! I love long walks. The 15 minutes is only an example, but I know that it’s time we can all 100% afford. Walk the parking lot before work, walk around the office, take the dog for a walk, however you want to get extra steps in is fine, just get moving!⠀The most important rule when it comes to exercise is this: doing something is always better than doing nothing. 15 minutes is definitely a small something- but those 274 extra miles are significantly more than 0.⠀Credit to @cheatdaydesign for the great content!⠀Tag a friend that would be interested in seeing this!
